Two-Ingredient Mandarin Orange Meatballs

Looking for a quick and delicious crockpot meal? These quick and easy crockpot mandarin orange meatballs are it! You’ll love it because it only uses two ingredients, comes together in 5 minutes, and is completely seed-oil free!

If you’re looking for an easy seed-oil free dinner that will please the whole family look no further! I have two littles and try to avoid seed-oils. That generally means the convenience meals that were once an option (like frozen pizza) are no longer an option. But there are still nights that I just need something quick to throw together. This meal is definitely it!

It’s so easy with only two ingredients and there are several different things you can do with the meatballs once they’re done. I really like to throw some brown rice in my rice cooker and make meatball rice bowls. The meatballs are also delicious on a bun (especially a Hawaiian roll, though unless you make those from scratch the meal won’t be completely free of seed oils). They also make a delicious appetizer for a party if you’re looking for something different than the traditional BBQ meatball.

Give them a try. I bet you’ll be surprised how delicious they are!

Ingredients

This one is super easy since it has only two ingredients. You just need a bag of your favorite frozen meatballs (or of course you could make the meatballs from scratch) and the mandarin orange sauce. The sauce I use is Target’s house brand so you can only find it there, but you could possibly use a different orange sauce if you found it. Feel free to try it out, but I obviously don’t know how it will taste with a different sauce.

Instructions

This meal comes together with minimal time and effort. Just throw the meatballs in the crockpot and cover with the sauce. Give it a mix and cook it on low for about 4 hours or on high for about 2. Remember, if you’re using frozen meatballs they’re fully cooked so you’re just trying to heat everything up.

If you don’t have a crockpot, you can also use a covered dutch oven as a crockpot substitute. Just put your ingredients in the dutch oven and bake in the oven on 225 for about 2 hours.

Finally, if you don’t have time to wait on a slow cooker, you could also make these on the stove. Put the ingredients in a covered pot and heat on medium heat. Be careful with this method though. You don’t want to use too high a heat as that could result in the sugary sauce burning.

Serve and enjoy!
