Pickled Red Onions

Looking for a great addition to salads, sandwiches, or tacos? These easy and delicious pickled red onions are it! They come together in less than 15 minutes and are great for your gut health! Plus that add such an amazing extra flavor to any dish!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 large red onion
  • ½ cup sugar
  • cups vinegar
  • cups water

Instructions
 

  • Combine water, vinegar, and sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally until it boils.
    ½ cup sugar, 1½ cups vinegar, 1½ cups water
  • While your vinegar mixture is heating up, slice your onion into thin slices.
    1 large red onion
  • Put your onion slices into a quart mason jar.
  • Once your vinegar mixture comes to a boil, remove from heat and carefully pour over your onions.
  • Once the mixture cools, put a lid on your mason jar and store it in the fridge.
  • Let your onions rest for at least an hour before serving.
